The Natural History Museum. Oh the memories of my days in elementary school when we would go on field trips to see all the dinosaurs and what not. Too be honest with you, all I really remember was that I got to get out of school for the day and head out on the bus. Hopefully the memories my kids have will be a little more, well, memorable! At the very least we had a great time on this little family outing. Here are a few shots from our day long excursion. I made sure the batteries in the flash were fully charged and ready to go and then proceeded to leave without it (doh!). So I had to trust the high iso capability of my camera and the light gathering abilities of a 1.4 aperture and see if i could get any clean shots. The majority of the shots were taken at iso 3200 and a few at 6400. The low light ability of the 5D MkII never ceases to amaze me. Take a look if feel so inclined and feel free to leave a comment, good or bad.
Are you looking at me or am I looking at you?
That's a staring contest that I don't think you can win.
This is an old wagon.....
this an old steam powered wagon (I think)........
and these? Well, there just some old boxes!
A self portrait. In case your not sure, I am the one on the right!
I can hear the Hollywood freeway!
Beauty is pain.
A portal to another world.
We headed out to the rose garden in Exposition Park after we finished the museum. Unfortunately, most if the roses were on there way out for the summer. We still managed to find a few that were hanging in there.
